THE doors are set to open this weekend to Belfast’s exciting new venue, The Playwright Bar and TIME Nightclub.
Formerly known as The Fly in Lower Crescent, The Playwright Bar and TIME Nightclub will contain three floors with a total capacity of approximately 600 people and the new venue will host a range of not-to-be-missed club nights with world renowned DJ’s and VIP guests.
The opening night will see Northern Ireland’s very own DJ Jon Boi entertain party goers upstairs at TIME Belfast whilst Marty McGrady, who was once pitched as one of Belfast’s best buskers will keep the crowds singing along at The Playwright Bar from 8.30pm – 10.30pm. Two piece acoustic act The Two Princes will also cover a range of music genres from 11pm to close of the night.
The new venue is part of the 1 Oak Leisure Group’s growing portfolio that includes TIME BAR + VENUE and Lanyon Hall in Cookstown, Johnny Foxes in Magherafelt, along with Rubys Nightclub and The Harp & Fiddle Bar in Strabane.
Group Marketing Manager Laura McGillion commented on the opening
“We are very excited about the launch of The Playwright Bar and TIME Belfast this weekend. We have been inundated with questions about the new venue and the well-known DJ’s we have lined up,” said Ms McGillion.
“We’ve totally transformed and refurbished the entire building from top to bottom and installed a brand new state of the art sound and lighting system to ensure that TIME Nightclub and The Playwright Bar will be Belfast’s most popular venue.
“We’re expecting fantastic feedback from our customers and can’t wait to see the response from people when they check out the venue for the first time,” she added.
The Playwright Bar will be open from Monday to Sunday (12pm to late) with live entertainment from Thursday to Sunday.
TIME Nightclub will open on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday nights. The club will operate a strictly over 18 policy, rising to over 20 on Saturday nights.
