SLEIGH-LOADS OF FESTIVE MAGIC
Sleigh-loads of festive magic await you and your family at Disneyland Paris as it officially kicked off the Christmas season on November 7th and it will stay like Christmas until January 8th, 2012.

uring these months, guests will have the chance to discover Disney’s latest character “Duffy, the Disney Bear”, and Princess Aurora's Christmas Wish, where the 3 fairy godmothers illuminate the roofs of Sleeping Beauty Castle.
Among other great attractions are Santa Claus Village and Disney's Once Upon a Dream Parade. You might even get some snow on Main Street, U.S.A. and get to see the Christmas tree lighting Ceremony. Indeed, there are many opportunities to enjoy the wonder of Christmas and experience memorable magical moments at Disneyland Paris!
I took a two day trip out to see Mickey and his friends a week or so ago just to make sure everything was prepared for Christmas. I stayed in the amazing Newport Bay Hotel, furnished and decorated on a Ralf Lauren styled theme.
This wonderful hotel has indoor and outdoor swimming pools and wonderful accommodation which all make this hotel a great addition to your park adventure. Down in the lobby of the hotel you may get to meet the real Disney characters!
The Disneyland Park itself was decked with festive baubles, Christmas lights and even real snow fell during the day, creating a magical and festive atmosphere.
I asked Mickey how they got real snow when no one else had it and he said “That’s the Magic of Disney Tim ” Not having been to Disneyland Paris for over 10 years there have been a lot of changes. Mickey has a new friend called Duffy and there are some great new collectable toys called Vnalmations, which I am sure will be exchanging on eBay before too long.
There is a new iPhone app that provides a host of ways for guests to customise their visit, optimising the time spent at the destination. Interactivity and real-time information take centre stage to ensure a successful and informative stay.
Customers can get information about the destination, check opening hours for the parks, attractions, shows, parades, restaurants, shops and services and even look up the expected waiting time at attractions in real time. Now that’s clever.
Organise their schedule by setting alarms that will issue reminders of the times of the shows they want to see and if you get lost Get their bearings effortlessly using the interactive map which displays all the points of interest, shows, parades, restaurants, shops and services that are nearby.
If you haven’t been to Disneyland Paris you have to GO, its simply an amazing place. I took a flight from Belfast International Airport with www.easyjet.com which got me to Paris in just an hour and twenty minutes, and I got the usual excellent service and if it’s only a two day trip you might not even need to check in a bag. I then took a train from Charles De Gaulle railway station having bought my tickets from www.raileurope.co.uk.
You can travel direct with Eurostar to Disneyland Paris from London St Pancras also.
Either way the train will arrive Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy station, directly at the gates of the Disney just a 2-minute walk from the Parks. If you prefer you can take the VEA Airport Shuttle Bus from the airport, which will get you to the heart of the magic in just 45 minutes from Paris.
