The Merrion, Dublin’s finest five-star address, is springing into action this Easter with two exclusive experiences available to guests. Families can kick back and indulge in a stylish weekend stay, complete with an Easter animal farm – whilst those in search of a little more action can experience the thrill and excitement of the Irish Grand National.
Easter Family Fun – 29 March – 3 April 2018
Well-attuned to the art of indulging little guests, The Merrion is looking forward to welcoming families for a magical Easter weekend. The hotel’s exclusive Easter Family Fun experience ensures there is plenty of fun to be had, during a wonderful two-night stay.
Set at the heart of Dublin city centre, The Merrion is ideally placed for families to explore the best that the city has to offer – on foot or on the hotel’s very own bicycles. The concierge will be on hand to recommend a series of unmissable spots, so that families can make the most of the city during their stay.
For something a little different, children will love the Viking Splash Tour – which explores historic Dublin before chugging around the canal basin – or a horse-drawn carriage ride, for a more authentic experience.
Back at the hotel, children will enjoy all the luxuries of five-star service with Easter-themed in- room amenities. The staff in Tethra Spa will take children for a swim, providing mini bathrobes for extra cuddly comfort.
On Easter Sunday, fuelled by a delicious full Irish cooked breakfast, little ones can search high and low for eggs and meet real-life Easter bunnies, chicks and lamb – on The Merrion’s annual Easter Egg Hunt.
Off to the Races – 1 – 2 April 2018
To celebrate one of the most anticipated dates on the Irish Racing calendar – The Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse Race Course, The Merrion is inviting guests to extend their visit with the Off to the Races experience.
Guests will check in to one of the hotel’s contemporary Garden Wing rooms, overlooking the beautiful landscaped gardens. The rest of the afternoon can be spent unwinding in Tethra Spa or discovering the hotel’s impressive art collection – before heading out to explore the delights of Georgian Dublin and the various museums and galleries, on The Merrion’s doorstep. In the evening, guests can choose to sit down to a delicious locally-sourced supper in The Garden Room restaurant or relax in the sophisticated atmosphere of Bar No. 23.
The following morning, fuelled by a full Irish breakfast, guests will be ready for the main event! Tickets include a race card and three-course lunch, with access to a private bar and tote facilities.
